John J. Rapa
Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer

​

John is the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Tellefsen and Company,  and has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry.  He has a broad, international background in front, middle and back office environments of investment management firms, securities broker-dealers, investment banks, swap dealers, futures commission merchants, information vendors, clearing houses, equity, options and futures exchanges.

 

His extensive experience includes: strategic planning, business continuity management, in-depth knowledge of the workings of the worldwide capital markets industry, network computing and technology consulting to the global capital markets arena. 

 

John has been associated with a number of successful capital markets and derivatives e-commerce projects in the past 10 years.

​

Prior to his association with TCL, John directed the sales and marketing for the IBM Corporation's Exchanges line of business, and Stratus Computer’s Capital Markets vertical. John was also a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mahogany Partners, a block trading technology services provider.

​

John has been a strategic advisor to several fintech companies and has been a board member and officer of the Markets and Technology division of the Futures Industry Association (FIA).  He is also the chair of the Financial Planning Committee in the town of Northborough, MA.

​

John is a frequent speaker or moderator at various industry conferences and has appeared in numerous publications including:

CME Group Magazine, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Congressional Federal Register, Financial Insights, the Financial Times, Fintech Law Matters, Futures Magazine, The Institute of Internal Auditors, John Lothian News, Market Voice Magazine, the MSCI Handbook of World Stock, Derivative and Commodity Exchanges and the Securities and Exchange Commission..

John has been designated a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) by DRI International, the disaster recovery institute.

Gerald M. Tellefsen
Founder, Chairman Emeritus

 

Jerry is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Tellefsen and Company. Mr. Tellefsen specializes in providing management counseling to Financial Services clients in the equity, fixed income, options, derivatives, futures and investment banking sectors.  He has been actively associated with these industries for over 30 years and has consulted to a wide range of domestic and international clients.

 

Jerry was a senior partner at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and led their Financial Services practice, including front and back office operations, technology evaluation and strategic planning studies.  He has conducted multiple assignments with over a dozen domestic U.S. exchanges and clearing corporations, as well as with numerous member firms of these organizations.

​

Jerry has authored numerous articles, which have appeared in Bloomberg Magazine, Futures Magazine and numerous financial periodicals.  He has had interviews and commentaries published in Futures Magazine, the New York Times, the Financial Times and other major publications.

C. Craig Conti
Senior Managing Director

 

Craig is a Senior Managing Director with Tellefsen and Company. He has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry designing, building and implementing on line transaction processing systems for equities, options and futures exchanges, securities broker-dealers and banks in the US, Europe and Asia. 

​

Over the course of his career, he has designed, developed and implemented various, multi-asset class electronic trading systems.

​ 

His industry experience began at the Boston Stock Exchange. Craig later co-founded FEMCON Associates, a provider of electronic trading systems and exchange automation, which was acquired by OMX Technology, now part of Nasdaq Market Solutions.

 

Craig was Vice President of Business Development for OMX Technology in their Financial Markets division. 

 

He was also a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mahogany Partners, a block trading technology services provider.

​

Craig attended Northeastern University College of Business Administration, and holds a B.S. degree in Finance.

​​David J. Dugan
Senior Director

David is a Senior Director with Tellefsen and Company.  He has a strong results-driven management background in technology, product development, marketing and business development, with experience in President, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles.  

​

He has a history of delivering business strategy and innovation on time and within budgets, resulting in significant contributed value to the business across FCM/clearing, exchange and customer business segments.  

 

David has held management positions with prestigious organizations as Accenture, First Options Corp., CME Group, Global Health Exchange, Medepresence, Buttonwood Group Trading and 303 Capital Partners.

 

David attended Northwestern University, and holds both a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science and a Master’s in Business Administration degree in Marketing, Finance and International Business.
